Donna Dolinky, MA, CCC-SLP

Donna joins the Speech Emporium staff after more than 20 years of experience
as a Speech Language Pathologist providing evaluation and intervention
of preschool and school aged children, as well as supervision of Licensed
Assistants in Speech Pathology in a variety of settings, including Early
Intervention, public schools, private practice, and pediatric outpatient clinics. Donna graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston in 1994
with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders. She earned a Master
of Arts in Communication Disorders with an Early Childhood Specialization
Certificate from the University of Houston in 1996. While in her Master’s
program she received the Outstanding Graduate Clinician award from the
University of Houston, and won the AMBUCS National Therapist Scholarship Award. Donna’s experience includes assessment and intervention of children
with a wide variety of complex speech and language disorders including,
developmental apraxia, phonological disorders, oral motor and feeding,
Cochlear Implant Aural rehabilitation, receptive and expressive language
impairment, and deficits related to Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is a
certified parent trainer in the Hanan language facilitation technique,
is certified in the PROMPT neuromuscular tactile cueing system, and is
trained in PECS Picture Exchange Communication System, the Kaufman Speech
Praxis Approach, and Beckman Oral Motor Intervention techniques. Donna
believes in a child centered treatment approach with family input and
involvement as an essential part of achieving treatment goals. In her
free time Donna enjoys cooking, gardening, and spending time with her
wonderful family and friends.
