Caitie Clemente, MS, CCC-SLP
Caitie graduated Cum Laude from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2012
with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. In
2015, she earned a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from
Stephen F. Austin and conducted research on The Impact of Dual Coding
on Listening Comprehension and Story Retelling. Caitie mentored college-aged
girls through a local organization during her time in undergraduate and
graduate studies. She is a member of the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing
Association (TSHA) and the American Cleft-Palate Craniofacial Association (ACPA). Caitie’s clinical experience consists of working with both pediatric
and adult clients in out-patient rehab, hospital, private practice, public
school, and skilled nursing facility settings. Her work has included evaluation
and treatment of children in areas of expressive, receptive, and pragmatic
disorders; articulation and phonological disorders; central auditory processing
disorder; fluency; autism spectrum disorder; hearing impairments including
cochlear implants; oral-motor functioning, feeding, and apraxia of speech.
Caitie has a special interest in cleft palate articulation treatment.
Caitie has evaluated and treated adults affected by stroke, traumatic
brain injury, fluency disorders, and Bell’s palsy. Caitie joined The Speech Emporium as a speech language pathology assistant
in 2013. She attained her Master’s Degree and rejoined our team
in 2015 for her clinical fellowship year. In her free time, Caitie enjoys
a cup of coffee and spending time outdoors.
